When I finished high school, I had a three months break before a new chapter in my life would start, “university”. I decided not to waste the time and volunteer in Garden international school. The principal of that school saw my passion for theatre and drama and she offered me to start a drama club for the students.

Working as a drama teacher in the school, allowed me to direct my first musical. With the help of great crew and talented students, we managed to present an adaptation of “les Miserables”. It was a difficult task, since I had students aged from (7-13). As a writer my job was to rewrite the script we bought online to make it more children friendly. Then it was time to find the costumes, the props, and finally start rehearsing!

Directing the children wasn’t an easy task, but they shone through, they were just as passionate about the story and decided to put on an incredible performance. I was very lucky to have worked with really talented kids. We managed to cover four major songs from the play, including “I dreamed a dream”. Playing the music that night, with all the kids singing, and managing to bring a great play to life, is something I will surely not forget.
